Thank you for visiting my therapy site. I am a licensed clinical psychologist and have a small private practice near Valley Forge Park in the western suburbs of Philadelphia.
I practice cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based interventions, and work with individuals age 16 and over.
I earned my doctorate in psychology in 2001 from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology (now William James College) in Boston. I trained as both an intern and post-doctoral fellow at the Mental Health Center at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. where I was immersed in the Deaf community and conducted psychotherapy in both English and American Sign Language. Since relocating to the Philadelphia area in 2004, I worked for 11 years as a staff psychologist at the Anxiety and Agoraphobia Treatment Center in Bala Cynwyd, PA where I trained and specialized in working with clients suffering from Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia and other forms of anxiety. I also have much experience with and enjoy working with individuals in the LGBT+ community.
If you are interested in learning more about my practice, please don't hesitate to contact me.
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they're a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
